JOHN KNOTT DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER HEAD OF FIVE GENERATIONS HAD LIVED IN ANTIGO FOR 42 OF 92 YEARS John Knott, aged 92 years, the head of five generations, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fred Teipner, 136 South Clermont street, at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. He was a resident of Antigo for 42 years. His survivors are eight children, 64 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter, who is 2 months old. Funeral services will be held Friday. A requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rev. J. R. Schuster at St. John's church at 9 o'clock, and burial will be in St. John's cemetery. The aged man was born in Germany. Forty-four years ago Mr. and Mrs. Knott immigrated to the United States. They resided at Bessemer, Mich., for two years before coming to Antigo. Mrs. Knott died here in March, 1926, at the age of 88 years. The names of the surviving children are: Mrs. Joseph Fleischman, town of Rolling; Mrs. John Fleischman, town of Harrison, Marathon county; John Knott, Mrs. Robert Hubatch, town of Rolling; Mrs. Fred Beron, Duluth, Minn.; Fred Knott, Mrs. Fred Teipner, Antigo, and Joe Knott, Shawano. ------------------------------------------- Transcribed from "The Antigo Daily Journal" Antigo, Langlade County, WI. Obituary John Knott With Leonard Frieburger Sr., Richard Healy Sr., John Kevan, and Michael Flynn as pallbearers, funeral services were held this morning for John Knott, 92 years, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Teipner 136 South Clermont street, Tuesday afternoon. A requiem high mass was sung by the Rev. J. R. Schuster at St. John's Catholic church at 9 o'clock. Interment was in St. John's cemetery. Relatives who came from out of town to attend the funeral services are: Mrs. Fred Beron, Duluth, Minn.; Mrs. Joseph Wisniwski and Joseph Hubatch, Stevens Point, and Miss Magdalene Hubatch, Milwaukee.
