Claus Lindemann: Born 25 April 1817 in Büsum, Holstein, Germany, son of Claus 
& Margaretha Paters Lindemann. Died 22 April 1867 in Liberty, Manitowoc, 
Wisconsin. Immigrated probably May 1852 from Schleswig-Holstein. Married 14 
September 1854 Dorothea Hefke (Haefke) in Manitowoc. Charter member of Trinity 
Lutheran Church, Liberty, 1853. Children: Carl (Emelie) Lindemann, August 
Lindemann, Louisa (Johann) Wahlers, & Martha (Ernst) Pleuss. Tombstone is flat 
in the ground, probably was buried for many years, and recently (2004) 
uncovered.
