Thomas Bunsa, 26, of Peshtigo, was killed at 3:30 a.m. Sunday in a crash on a
Peshtigo town road. Bunsa was alone in the car on County Trunk BB when his car
left the road, hit an embankment and overturned. Coroner Richard Matty said he
died instantly of head injuries. It was Marinette County's 11th fatality of the
year compared to three last year. Bunsa's death and the death of nine other
victims of weekend accidents in the state, five in Sheboygan County crashes,
raised Wisconsin's 1970 highway fatality figure to 906 today compared with 926
on the same date a year ago.
