It is surrounded by a white board fence and has a mixture of stone and white crosses. The cemetery served as the burial ground for nearby Marinette County Asylum, Mental Health Institution, and Poor Home. The Institution was used from 1900 until 1972, then the old building was torn down and the land was cleared. A new building was constructed near the rear of the property and became the PINEVIEW HEALTH CENTER for the Elderly. This new building is located on a new site facing Hospital Road west of the original building. The PINEVIEW HEALTH CENTER was sold to Rennes Enterprises and continues as the PINEVIEW HEALTH CENTER - West. (G E T) The first recorded grave stone inscription at the cemetery was Susan EOTH who died October 31, 1906. The last date was a Leonard PESH who died September 20, 1918. Although there are reports that say the cemetery was used as late as 1942.
