Died, on the 25th inst., Mrs. Caroline COON, wife of Harrison D. COON, of
Moundville, aged 40 years.

Mrs. COON was the daughter of Rev. Isaac SMITH (deceased); was born near
Portage and with the exception of a few years in childhood, has passed all
her life in Moundville, where by her many virtues she endeared herself to
all who knew her. She was married October 29, 1868. Though being in poor
health for some time she was bedfast only a few hours before her
death...she queitly and peacefully slipped away. She leaves a husband and
two children with a large number of relatives and friends to mourn her
loss. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Rev. Wm. AUDISS
officiating.
