Obituary: Marquette County, Wisconsin: Henry PHILLIPS ************************************************************************ Submitted by Joan Benner, April 2008 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ The Oxford Times [Oxford, Marquette County, Wisconsin], Thursday May 3, 1917, Page 1 Henry PHILLIPS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph PHILLIPS, was born in the town of Jackson, Adams county, Wisconsin, on July 3, 1871. Here he grew to manhood. On the 7th of February, 1898, he was united in marriage to Miss Mamie FLOOK, a schoolmate, and they have resided near Parker Lake for the past nineteen years. He has been a patient sufferer since last summer with stomach trouble but was not confined to his bed until the last two or three days. He passed away quietly April 29th at 1 p.m. Funeral services were conducted yesterday from the home and interment made in the Oxford cemetery. Rev. Foss officiated. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, two sons, three daughters, six brothers and many friends. Mr. PHILLIPS was a man of sterling character and a prominent and successful farmer, highly respected by the entire community. He has gone to his reward.
