She came to America and to Milwaukee at the age of four years. On June 2, 1894 she was married to Fred C. Ulrich. In 1897 they moved to Springfield, Wisconsin where they have lived for twenty-six years. Then last year, 1923, they moved back to Milwaukee where, after weeks of illness, Mrs. Ulrich died on May 20, 1924. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, two sons, Charles and Fred Jr., and three daughters, Mrs. Robert Long (Lora), Mrs. Walter Peck (Cora) and Mrs. August Lyon (Nora). Another daughter, Dora, died in 1918. One sister, Mrs. August Steldt; two brothers, Wm. and Robert Steldt, all of Milwaukee and two little grandchldren. The remains were brought to Westfield, where fitting service was conducted in the Presbyterian church by the Pastor Rev. W. J. Semelroth on the afternoon of May 22. The interment was in the Springfield cemetery, out north of Westfield. The attendance of many friends and the floral tokens told of the esteem in which Mrs. Ulrich was held by neighbors and distant friends.
