On page 300A-596, lines 10 and 11, the enumerator has written a note that says "This was copied from the last page of the 5th Ward so that the wards could be arranged numerically." 2. The stamped and written page numbers are correct on this census however, the enumerator skipped a page and then went back to it after he had already filled in the next page. Therefore, Stamped page #321B ends with dwelling #825, Stamped page #322A should start with dwelling #825 but instead starts with dwelling #833. The following page, Stamped page #322B starts with dwelling #825. To make it simpler, the dwellings on Stamped pages 322A and 322B are reversed. 3. On Stamped-written page #329A-654, lines 22 through 31 are bracketed and this note is written by the enumerator: "These belong to family 993". 4. On Stamped-written pages 339B-675, 340A-676, and 340B-677, dwelling #1095, family #1160 is the "United States House", according to what the enumerator wrote in the margin. ___________________________________________________________________________ KEY TO ABBREVIATIONS: LN=Line Number HN=House Number FN=Family Number MRD=Married within last year SCH=Attended school within last year R/W=Adults who cannot read and write DDB=Whether deaf, dumb, blind, insane, idiotic, pauper, or convict ____________________________________________________________________________ This is the 1850 Federal Census Milwaukee County, Wisconsin ____________________________________________________________________________ --- Year: 1850 State: Wisconsin County: Milwaukee Sheet No: 312A Reel No: M432-1003 Division: the 3rd Ward District No. 19 Milwaukee City Page No: 620 Enumerated on: August 2nd, 1850 by: Henry Miller Transcribed by Regan Kanaley for USGenWeb, http://www.rootsweb.com/census/.
