Obituary: Milwaukee County, Wisconsin: Walker L. BEAN ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, January 2008 © All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Milwaukee Daily Sentinel March 24, 1845 p.2 Died. In this city, on Saturday last, after a protracted illness, Walker L. Bean, M.D., aged 43 years. The funeral will be held to-day at 2 o'clock, p.m. at the Congregational Church. The deceased was one of our most respected and esteemed citizens, and his loss will be deeply and sincerely deplored by all who enjoyed the honor of his acquaintance. Courteous and affable to all, possessing talents and accomplishments of a high order--with a character unsullied and spotless-- his loss has created a blank in the circle in which he moved, which can never be filled by another. His loss will be deeply felt by the medical profession, of which he was a member, and all will regret that one so much respected has so soon been called to that charmed circle, where "Friendship, Love and truth" abound. While we regist the existence of the truism that-- "All that o'er which earth bears sway, Breathes but one record--passing away" -- we will cherish the hope that the departed has found in the spirit world a purer and better fate than is awarded to man in the changing scenes of our earthly life.
