He emigrated to the United States with his parents, Johann# and Fredericke Bischof Hintz, about 1868. He was the brother of Bertha Hintz (Heinrich Johann) Ziemer, Wilhelmine Hintz* (Valentin) Paul, and Ida Hintz. On 7 April, 1895, Ferdinand Hintz married Katharine Paul, daughter of Phillip Paul. They had several children, most of whom died within the first year of life. Mr. Hintz died May 21, 1931 and is buried at Pinelawn Cemetery. His infant children are buried with his parents at Wauwatosa Cemetery. #Johann Hintz was born in Woedtke, Kr. Greifenberg, Pommern *Wilhelmine Hintz was born in Gumtow, Kr. Greifenberg, Pommern FURTHER HINTZ INFORMATION Ferdinand Hintz arrived in the United States at Baltimore, Maryland, aboard the ship OCEAN from Bremen, on 08 June, 1868. At that time his father Johann was 49 years of age; his mother Fredericke (nee Bischof) was 44; his sister Bertha was 17; Pauline was 14; and Wilhelmine was 8. There is no mention of a sister Ida in the ship list.
