Mittilman of Milwaukee, aged 20, was drowned about half a mile from the Waupaca soldiers' home at about 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Young Mittilman left Milwaukee Saturday with five young companions, intending to spend a week at the lakes. Sunday afternoon the young men took skiffs for a row on the lake. When about a half mile from the home, the skiff containing Mittilman and two others capsized. All but the drowned boy managed to cling to the overturned boat. He sank. The cries of the other two brought boatmen on the lake to the scene and they were rescued.
