NEOSHO, MO.—Christine June PRATER, 48, died Tuesday, January 19, 1999 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., after an illness since July 1998. Mrs. Prater was born August 11, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wi. She moved to the area in 1956 from California. She graduated from Neosho High School in 1968. She worked at Con-Agra in Neosho until her illness. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch and gardening. She was a Methodist. She and Sam Prater were married June 1, 1968, in Neosho and he survives. She is also survived by 2 sons, Chad Prater, Joplin and Darren Prater, Neosho; four brothers, Jerome P. Cholka, Jr., Milwaukee, Wi., Ronald Cholka, Joplin, Mo., Kenneth and Dennis Cholka, Neosho; four Grandchildren, Meghan, Breann, Holden, and Hayden Prater. She is Preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Prater, December 12, 1991. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 22, 1999, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Rev. Terry Swagerty will officiate. Burial will be in the 100F Cemetery, Neosho. Pallbearers will be Sam, Darren, and Chad Prater, Kenneth, Ronald, Dennis and Jerome Cholka, and Jerry McBride. Friends may call until 6 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Prater may be made to the Leukemia Foundation, in care of the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Services directed by Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
