Joseph Straka Beer Hall-655 Washington St. This building still stands in
Milwaukee. Joseph Straka and his wife Josephine Maertz Straka ran this business.
They immigrated from Bohemia. They lived upstairs with their children, Mary,
Anna, Jennie, Joseph J, Agnes and Elizabeth. The children attended St.
Wenceslaus  School which was located just behind the business and residence.
