Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than as stated above, must contact the submitter or the listed USGenWeb archivist. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Will of Christoph Herzog, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, 3 Aug 1885 I Christoph Herzog, of the town of Granville, in the county of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, being of sound mind & memory & mindful of theuncertainties of human life do make publish & declare this to be my last will & testament in manner & from following to wit. 1st, After the payment of all my just debts & funeral expenses & the expenses of administration on my estate, I give devise & bequeath to my beloved wife Johanna Christina all my estate both real & personal of which I may be in popepion at the time of my decease for her own use & benefit forever. 2nd, It is my wish & will that my son Fredrick Herzog shall retain popepion of the part of the real estate on which his house at present stands. So long as he shall pay to my said wife Johanna Christina, the annual rent of five dollars & shall not himself (nor any of his family to) conduct himself in an unbecoming manner towards my said wife. 3rd, I herby nominate & appoint my said wife Johanna Christina to be the Executrix of this my last will & testament & authorize her to compromise, compound, & settle any claim, or demand in favor or against my estate.
