Nelson Carver marriage to Margaret Shearer Compiled by Laura Hunter Monroe County} State of Wisconsin} Be it remembered that on the fourth (4th) day of July A.D. 1863 Nelson Carver a farmer of Wilton in the County of Monroe and State of Wisconsin whose place of birth was St. Lawrence County, State of New York and Margaret Shearer of the same place both of white blood were duly joined in wedlock at the residence of Gilbert Smiths in Wilton aforesaid, the name of the grooms parents are Nelson Carver and Elizabeth Carver whose maiden name was Willson name of the brides parents are John and Margaret Shearer, Margaret no living with second husband named John Randalls, the witnesses present were Gilbert Smith and wife, Mary Earle, Margaret Randalls and Elizabeth Carver Mutual Covenant and premises were required and they were pronounced Husband and Wife agreeable to the requirements of the Statue the groom being sworn.
