He was united in marriage to Clara WRUCK, May 14, 1902. they located on a farm east of Norwalk, where Mr MANNEL was born and where he lived all his life. He received religious instruction and joined the Evangelical Church when he was a young man. Having lived here all his life, he knew nearly everyone and was known by people over a large territory. his health had been failing for some time. Last December he went to the hospital where he remained 13 days. Sunday, march 5th, he went there again with the hope of getting relief. Saturday and operation was performed to prolong his life, but complications set in and he passed away at the hospital at Sparta Tuesday forenoon, march 14, at the age of 55 years, 9 months, and 24 days. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wido, 3 sons and 3 daughters; Mrs. Dolores Bolton, of Philips, Wis., George, Mrs. Leola Schroer of Bismark, N.D., Ormand, donald and Lois. Four sisters: Mrs. Minnie Reed of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Ida Mitchell, Duluth, Minn,; Mrs. Helen Wallace of Beach, N.D.; Mrs. Alma Schroeder of Sparta. Three brothers; Bert, Milo, and Erwin and his stepmother, mrs. Dora Mannel, besides other relatives and friends. Services which were very largely attended were held Friday afternoon at the home and in the Evangelical Church, Rev. O. A. Hillman officiating. Interment in the valley cemetery. Noth, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Berendes. Mr. Fred Gerke. Mrs. Frederick. mr. and Mrs. Erdman, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Berendes. Mr. and Mrs. Lon Korthein. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Woodliff. mr.
