Monroe Co., Wisconsin OBIT: Alvin Sam WRUCK SUBJECT: Alvin Sam WRUCK obit SUBMITTER: Bev Nohr EMAIL: rjnohr@aol.com DATE: Apr 03, 1999 SURNAMES: WRUCK, DREIER, ARNDT, TAFT Alvin Sam Wruck, son of the late Benjamine and Ann Dreier Wruck, was born in the town of Sheldon, Monroe Co., Wis.,on Oct. 13, 1894 and exchanged this life with that of beyond so unexpectedly without warning in his home at Norwalk during the night of Januarry 14 to 15, 1941; reaching the age of 46 years, 3 months and 2 days. This proves again that death is no respector of person nor age. Hence " be ye ready." Being born into a Christian home, he was dedicated to the Lord in his infancy through the sacrament of Baptism. This act was performed by the Rev. E. W. Gassman of the Evangelical church. Mr. Wruck lived in this community all his life with the exception of a few years in the city of Tomah, Wis. He chose as his life's work that of butter-making, and for the last 20 years worked in the local creamery. It was here that the Community learned to know and to love him for his friendly and helpful attitude. This large audience speaks of the esteem in which he was held. He found his helpmate in Leona Arndt to whom he was married June 7, 1924. This union was blessed with two daughters, Beverly and Belva. He was a true husband and provider and a faithful-loving father. He leaves to morn his so early departure, his sorrow-stricken wife, two daughters, one sister, Mrs. Violet Taft of Tomah and a host of other reletives. Beloved! may we hold ourselves all ready so when we are called, we can meet again. May the dear Lord comfort you all! Funeral services were held on Friday Jan. 17, 1941 from the home at 1:45 at the Emmanuel Evangelical church at Norwalk at 2:00. The Rev. W. H. Mahn local Pastor officiating, using as his text, Matthew 24:44. Three songs were sung by Henry Vieregge, Wm. Vieth, Mrs. Ed Dreier and Mrs. B. Wallace and Mrs. Elmer Belcher at the piano. The pall-bears were cousins of the departed and girls out of the neighborhood served as flower girls. The undertaker was the Albert Willgrubs.
