The church was beautiful for the happy occasion, decorations being prettily in keeping with the event and season. Brown-eyes Susans and white daisies were the flowers used, and formed a lovely background for the gorgeous dainty hued costumes of the ladies in the wedding party. The bride who entered on the arm of her father, wore a most beautiful gown of white Italian lace over white taffeta made with the tight basque and a bouffant tulle overskirt. Her veil was of tulle caught with a cap of Venetian lace and orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. The matron of honor, Mrs. E. C. Malone of Detroit, sister of the bride, wore a gown of yellow georgette with a picture hat to match. She carried Ophelia roses and sweet peas. The gowns of the bridesmaids, Miss Marcella O'Leary and Mrs. H. M. Hilliker of Sparta, were fashoned after the mode of the basque and frille bouffant skirt. Miss O'Leary and Mrs. Hilliker wore gowns of blue and orchid taffeta with bandeaux of marline in rainbow colors in their hair. Both carried large bouquets of yellow daisies. Mr. F. J. Golden of Merrill acted as best man to Dr. Finucan. The ushers were Mr. Foster O'Leary of Chicago, Mr. Francis O'Leary, Detroit, brothers of the bride; Mr. Hugh Hilliker of Sparta and Dr. E. A. Krembs of Merrill. The newlyweds are spending their honeymoon at resorts in northern Wisconsin and will be at home after September first at Merrill. The bride is a graduate of Marquette University Conservatory of Music, and Northwestern University of Evanston, Illinois. She has, for the past five years, held the position as music critic of Detroit Teacher's College at Detroit, Michigan. The groom is a graduate of Columbia University, New York, has been practicing as an optometrist for the past four years in Merrill. The out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. C.H.
