Carl OESTREICH1. He was first a horse groomer and later a farm hand in Schoenhof Province, Muehlen-Eichsen, Mecklenburg- Schwerin, Germany. His wife, name unknown, was from Wendorf, Mecklenburg- Schwerin, Germany. Carl OESTREICH had the following children: +2 i. Karl Friedrich OESTREICH. SECOND GENERATION 2. Karl Friedrich OESTREICH was born on 14 Jul 1808 in Wendorf, Mechlenburg -Schwerin, Germany.1 Karl Friedrick Oestreich was a horse groomer. He was married to Christiana Dorothea MOLL (daughter of Johann Friedrich MOLL) on 30 May 1834 in Muehlen-Eichsen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany. 1 Christiana Dorothea MOLL was born on 10 Nov 1811 in Meteln, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.1 She was a maid to a farmer's housewife in Meteln, Mecklenburg -Schwerin, Germany. Karl Friedrich OESTREICH and Christiana Dorothea MOLL had the following children: +3 i. Adolph Karl Johann OESTREICH. 4 ii. Gottleib OESTREICH2. Mecklenburg- Schwerin, Germany. He came to the U.S. with his brother, Adolph Carl Oestreich, at the time of the Franco-Prussian War. He settled at Plymouth, Wisconsin where his brother stayed. He moved to Clark County in 1883, bought a farm in the town of Sherman, cleared the land, and built a home. This farm is located in the north west corner of the town of Sherman, Section 5. THIRD GENERATION 3. Adolph Karl Johann OESTREICH1 was born on 27 Dec 1851 in Schoenhof Province, Muehlen- Eichsen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.2,1 Schoenhof is part of the parish of Muehlen-Eichsen. Muehlen-Eichsen is a village in the northwest part of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, between Gadebusch and Wismar. He was baptized on 28 Dec 1851 in Schoenhof Province, Muehlen-Eichsen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.1 His godfathers were Adof Niemdorf, son of a herdsman; Karl Oestreich, son of a farm hand, and Johann Oestreich, son of a farm hand. He died on 2 Jun 1939 in ?, Wisconsin.2 Adolph Carl Oestreich was born December 27, 1851 at Schoenhof Province, Muehlen-Eichsen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany. He came to the U.S. with his brother, Gottleib, at the time of the Franco-Prussian War at the age of 19. He was married to Theresa Augusta MEUCHE (daughter of Michael MEUCHE and Augusta Marie SIMON) on 14 Aug 1884 in Granton Lutheran Church, Sherman, Wisconsin (Rev. Fisher).2 Theresa Augusta MEUCHE2 was born on 30 Jul 1865 in Sachen, Thuringen, Germany.2 She died on 4 Jan 1951 in ?, Wisconsin. 2Theresa Augusta Meuche was born July 30, 1865 in Sachen, Thuringen, Germany. She came to the U.S. at age 18 (1883) and lived in Neillsville, Wisconsin until her marriage to Adolph Oestreich on August 14, 1884. They lived on a farm west of Spencer until 1917. They moved to the first house on the corner of the fifth block on H98 west of the Methodist Church. Her parents were Michael Meuche and Augusta Marie Simon.
