O'Bray, died Tuesday, Oct 13, 1896, of bronchitus, age 44 years. Jennie E. Bettis was born in Baraboo, Wisconsin in 1852, and at the age of 19 was joined in marriage to Eli O'Bray. In 1890 they moved onto a homestead near Woodruff, where they have since resided. Mrs. O'Bray was sick but a short time and the announcement of her death was a great surprise to many people of this community. Mrs. O'Bray had, by her kind and motherly ways, won the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves a husband, one sister, Mrs. Wicks of Baraboo, two brothers, Geo. Bettis of Baraboo, and Frank, of this place, to mourn her loss. The funeral service will be held at the Woodruff school house today at 2:00 and the remains will be taken to Minocqua cemetery and laid to rest.
