Ross to Charles E. Pain, Jr., of Chicago. The ceremony took place in the home of the bride, the Rev. Doane Upjohn of All Saints Episcopal Church officiating. A small company of relatives and immediate friends witnessed the event. The bride was gowned in white satin and wore a tulee veil caught with lilies of the valley. She carried a show bouquet of orchids and lilies of the valley. Her attendants were the Misses Florence Ross and Betty Pain, sisters of the bride and groom respectively. The Misses Ellen Moore and Lillian Clark stretched ribbons which formed the aisle through which the bride entered on the arm of her father. William Steward of Chicago attended the groom as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held after which the bride and groom departed. They will be at home at 729 Montrose avenue, Chicago, after a wedding trip which will be spent in New York and other eastern cities. Among the out of town guests were Charles E. Pain, MRs. and Mrs. J.W. Pain, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sullivan, Miss Betty Pain and William Stewart of Chicago; Theodore Peck, Kenilworth, Ill. ; Mr. and Mrs. William M. Ross, Milwaukee; Miss Lillian Clark, Oshkosh and Miss Kathleen Robinson, Green Bay.
