Donald Purdy has returned froma visit with relatives at Bradford, Pennsylvania Miss Helen Prim has returned to chicago, where she is a student at the academy of fine arts Miss Ethel Carter and mother have returned froma two weeks' visit with friends at Bloomington, Wis. Mrs. Nellie Nick,who has been a guest of Mrs. George Hogriever, has returned to her home in Milwaukee. Mr. and Mrs.Harold L. Post were at Weyauwega where they attended the funeral of Mrs. E. C. Pope Sunday afternoon A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Horwitz at the Theda Clark hospital yesterday. Myron Umbreit was a visitor at Fond du Lac yesterday. J. I. Cohen, local broom manufacturer, was in Neenah on business yesterday. Morse Richmond, brother of Mrs. I. D. Segal, has returned to Madison after a short visit in Appleton. The Misses Amanda and Elsa Franzke have returned from Fond du Lac where they visited briefly. SOCIETY Mrs. L. A. Youtz, 462 South street will entertain the Wednesday club at her home tomorrow afternoon. Mrs. James Reeve will have charge of the program. Miss Alberta Schweitzer entertained six friends at her home Sunday evening. Dancing furnished entertainment. Refreshments were served. W. R. C. Installation. Newly elected officers of the Woman's Relief Corps were installed at a meeting Friday evening. Mrs. Mary Brown was the installing officer. New officers are: President, Anna Schulere; vice president, Anna Hanchett; junior vice president, Viola Fox; chaplain, Priscilla Wing; treasurer, Emily Loos; secretary, Mary Brown; patriotic instructor, Jane Beach; press correspondent, Jane Newell; conductor, Amanda Pfeil; guard, Mary Donnelly; assistant conductor, Carrrie Rockstroh; assistant guard, Dorothy Lorenz; color bearers, Frankie Sherry, Nellie Oviatt, Mararet Zachaechner and Alice Ralph. Wednesday Musicale Mrs. George Fannon, 460 Alton court, will entertain the Wednesday Musicale at her home at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. A miscellaneous program will be presented. Miss Ruth Harper is the chairman. Those on the program are Mrs. G. W. Jones, Mrs. Emil Voecks, Mrs. F. J. Edmonds, Miss Barbara Kamps, Mrs. George Fannon, Mrs. Morse, Mrs. Mark Catlin, Mrs. W. H. Mrs. Carl Gebheim Sunday celebrated her forty-fourth birthday anniversary at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bauer, Jr., 279 Mason street. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. William Bodoh of Mackville. A son was born this morning to Mr. and Mrs. William Gerbrick at Menasha. Mr. and Mrs. Gerbrick are former Appleton residents.
