Mr. and Mrs. Wing were married in the town of Calumet and their wedding was in a baggy, the usual mode of travel in those days. Mrs. Wing was formerly Miss Priscilla Blount. Mr. Wing enlisted in the 17 Reg. Wisconsin Volunteers, and was on Sherman's famous march to the sea, and served until the end of the Civil War and was at the Grand Review at Washington. They are both enjoying very good health for their years, and enjoy the society of young people as much as in former years. Two daughters, Mrs. John McCarter and Mrs. Norman Ovitt reside in Appleton. Their three sons, Rufus, Herbert and Harvey and a daughter live in the west. The out of town guests were Mrs. Herbert Wing and daughter Ruth of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Ratzenberg of Wrightstown.
