Lesselyong, World War soldier after whom the local American Legion Post was named, died at 5:30 o'clock this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Robert Errington, Appleton. Mrs. Lesselyong resided at 202 N. Vine st, and her body will be brought back to this city (Marshfield) for burial. Mrs. Lesselyong, nee Mary Leinwander, was born Jan. 17, 1850 in Austria-Hungary and lived there until she moved with her parents to Appleton. She lived in Appleton until about eight years after her marriage to John E. Lesselyong when she moved to Marshfield with her husband and family. After the death of her husband 10yrs ago Mrs. Lesselyong lived with her daughter, Mrs. William Scheller here in Marshfield during the summers and spent the winters with her daughter, Mrs. R.E.Errington, in Appleton. Was Gold Star Mother Mr. and Mrs. Lesselyong celebrated their golden wedding anniversary 18 yrs ago. She was one of the first Gold Star Mothers here; a member of the St. John's Altar Society, and charter member of the American Legion Auxillary of Marshfield. Surviving are the following children: George, Tuolomme, Calif; Jake, Clintonville; Mike, Appleton; Mrs. William Scheller, Marshfield; and Mrs. Robert E. Errington, Appleton. Sixteen grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive. Preceding her in death were her husband, three brothers, two sisters, and the following children; Mrs. John (Mayme) ReVoyr, Mrs. Gary(Helen) Mason, William J. Lesselyong, and John Lesselyong Jr. Two daughters and a son died in childhood.
