She was born November 27, 1907, in Hammonton, New Jersey, daughter of Manley and Myra (Patten) Austin. She married George H. Beaser and he preceded her in death on July 19, 1971. Mrs. Beaser is survived by her daughter-in-law, Catherine Beaser, Williamstown, New Jersey; two grandchildren, Diane (Peter) Graniela, Menasha; Linda Beaser, Glassboro, New Jersey; three great- grandchildren, Kristen, Richard, and P.J. Dohr 321 Walnut Street, Appleton Age 81, died on Sunday, February 27, 2000, in Honolulu, Hawaii, following a stroke while on vacation. He was born on August 1, 1918, in Appleton, the son of the late Joseph and Alma (Flesch) Dohr. Bob was employed at the Outagamie Bank (First Interstate-Norwest) for over 40 years, retiring as assistant cashier in 1980. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and an honorary life member, past treasurer, and a member of the bowling league of the Fr. Fitzmaurice Council of the Knights of Columbus Council 607. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Invasion Forces Normandy in France during World War II. He is survived by his four sisters, Dolores Smith, Clintonville; Lilas, with whom he shared the family residence, Rita Veerkamp, Appleton; Marge (Jack) Palmer, Boulder Junction, Wisconsin; three brothers, Russell Dohr, Greenfield; Carl (Judy) Dohr, Appleton; Paul (Ellen) Dohr, Salem, South Carolina; and many much-loved nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Althea Dohr; two sisters-in-law, Lois and Elaine Dohr; two brothers-in-law, Clarence Smith and Norbert Veerkamp; a nephew, Peter Smith, and a niece, Catherine Perhan. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2000, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 404 W. Lawrence Street, Appleton. Father John Holly, O.F.M. Cap., officiating. WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME 537 N. Superior St. Appleton 739-1231 Caroline L. Lueck Fort Collins, Colorado Age 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at the Columbine Care Center West in Fort Collins. She was born in Dubuque, Iowa, on August 20, 1911, the daughter of the late James and Augusta (Sheffert) Crawford. On September 24, 1935, she married Edwin Lueck in Dubuque, and he passed away on September 23, 1990. Caroline was a former resident of Appleton, Clintonville, and Manitowoc, and had been residing in Fort Collins for the last two years. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville, and also a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Fort Collins. She was a homemaker most of her life, but had also worked in the medical field. Caroline had a contagious kindred spirit. She was known for being positive, having a great sense of humor, and always being interested in others. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Caroline is survived by her son, Ed (Erika) Lueck, Fort Collins, Colorado; daughter, Mary (William) Oelhafen, Clintonville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, and a son, James H. Lueck, on August 15, 1994. He was born on August 17, 1971, in Eislingen, Germany, son of Richard and Barbara (Doster) McCandless. He was a former employee of Ort's Lumber in New London and North Country Lumber in Weyauwega. He was presently an employee of Grede Foundry in Reedsburg. He is survived by his daughter, Brittany McCandless, Northport; his mother, Barbara McCandless, Weyauwega; his paternal grandmother, Ruth McCandless, Hortonville; four brothers, Frank McCandless, Oshkosh; Mike (Jenny) McCandless and his son, Josh, Weyauwega; Dale McCandless, Weyauwega; and Mark (Amy) McCandless and their daughter, Kendra, Little Chute. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard McCandless, in 1981 and his paternal grandfather, Charles McCandless, in 1986. Born June 30, 1917, at Crivitz, he was the son of the late Wenceslaus and Lillian (Repinski) Witt. He has owned and operated the Witt Locker and Grocery in the Town of Belle Plaine for the past 53 years. He enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, fishing and bowling. Ralph served with the United States Army in World War II. He married Anne M. Brylinsky on December 26, 1943, at Crivitz. He is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 2836, the Holy Name Society, and the American Meat Producers Association. Survivors include his wife, Anne; five children, Robert (Debbie) Witt, Marengo, Illinois; Elizabeth (Pat) Witt Huhn, Dale; Marion Witt Sinagub, Dallas, Texas; Joe Witt, Town of Belle Plaine; Cathy (Steve) Sengstock, Appleton; ten grandchildren and a great-grandson. He is further survived by four brothers, Myron Witt, Green Bay; Clarence "Junior" (special friend Mae) Witt, Milwaukee; Gerald (Leona) Witt, Oconto Falls; Ernest (June) Witt, Crivitz; a sister, June (John) Shaffer, Crivitz; and a sister-in-law, Ellen Witt, Crivitz. He was also preceded in death by a brother. Author Unknown Ruth Ann Zeamer Beverly Health Care, Chilton Age 89, formerly of Brillion, died on Saturday, March 18, 2000. She was born March 18, 1911, in Athens, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Vetter) Lehman. On January 27, 1953, she married Norbert Zeamer at Athens. Survivors include two sons and three daughters-in-law, Ray and June Berghammer, Clarkston, Washington; Richard and Betty Bergshammer, Sumner, Washington; and Lillian Berghammer, Cottage Grove, Minnesota; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola Miller, Florida. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert; a son, a sister and a brother. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, in Manitowoc. Anita June Zimmer W9315 School Road Hortonville Age 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2000, from complications of a heart attack, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 12, 1917, on a farm in the Town of Greenville, the daughter of William and Sadie (Raprager) Schulz. On October 29, 1938, she was united in marriage to Floyd E. Zimmer. Together they farmed and later operated a livestock trucking business. Anita was a faithful member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, Greenville. She was a participating member of the Medina Homemakers. She enjoyed visiting and playing cards with her family and many friends. Her favorite pastimes were painting, crossword puzzles, and word games. She also loved to travel. Survivors include her husband, Floyd; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Rosie Zimmer, Spring Green; four daughters and sons-in-law, June and Eugene Bruss, Fremont; Audrey and Marlin Kuehl, Fremont; Ruthann and Donald Faber, Madison; Jane and David Chadwell, Phoenix, Arizona; ten grandchildren, Tammy (Sam) Plaski, Kurtis Bruss, Michael Kuehl, Kerri (Tim) Martus, Leilani (Bartlett) Durand, Sarah (Joe) Vogelsang, Sadie Zimmer, Jason (Jenni) Ziegler, Nicholas Zimmer, and Amelia Faber; three great grandchildren: Hannah Stallkamp Vogelsang, Nolan Vogelsang, and Emily Ziegler; a brother and sister-in-law, Merton and Gen Schulz, Appleton; a brother-in-law, Lavern Zimmer, Marshfield. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends Ken and Loretta Derks. Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Donald and Arlyn Schulz; an infant sister, Bernice; and five sisters-in-law, Grace Zimmer, Pearl Zimmer, Dolores Zimmer, Ella Schulz, and Wilma Schulz. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2000, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Greenville, with the Reverend David Hussman officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
