He was born February 26, 1971, to Vernon W. Birkholz and Shirley A. (Arnold) Schiessl, in Appleton, where he was a resident all of his life. Terry attended Appleton public schools and was a member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church. Survivors include his parents, Shirley and Don Schiessl, Appleton; a sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Mark Porter, Appleton; a brother and sister-in-law, Bryon and Dana Schiessl, Appleton; eight nieces and nephews; his maternal grandmother, Marie Arnold, Appleton; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon W. Birkholz; his maternal grandfather, Emmett Arnold, and his paternal grandparents, William and Anna Birkholz. Private family services will be held at the funeral home with the Reverend Randall Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund is being established. The daughter of the late Phillip and Elizabeth (Van Wedding) Nuthals was born August 31, 1912, in Green Bay. She married Richard Lorrig in Green Bay in 1941. Mr. Lorrig preceded her in death in 1969. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish, De Pere. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Debbie Lorrig, De Pere; a daughter, Julie Lorrig, Menasha; four grandchildren, Rick, Mike, Chris and Danielle; a sister, Lorraine Wickman, and a brother, Bernard Nuthals. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a son, Peter. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
