See Sunday's paper for a complete obituary. Josephine A. Nauber 952 London St. Menasha Age 67, died Friday, March 31, 2000, at Peabody Manor. Arrangements are pending with Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. Melvin W. Prahl Green Bay Age 85, departed this life to be with his Savior on Thursday, March 30, 2000. He was born February 19, 1915, in the Township of Lebanon, Waupaca County, to the late August and Hulda (Brown) Prahl. He married Leila A. Tank at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New London, on July 13, 1940. Leila preceded him in death to be with her Lord in October of 1997, at the age of 78. Melvin enjoyed his employment in the pulp and paper industry, ending after 35 years as a Senior Utility engineer with the Fort James Corporation, and as a professional engineer licensed by the state of Wisconsin. He served his Lord as a lifelong worker in His Church on various boards and committees of his local church, and of the Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod. Especially close to his heart was Fox Valley Lutheran High School as one of its founding members. His efforts were tireless for his beloved school. Melvin is survived by four children, Lanny Prahl (Karen), Denver, Colorado; Larry Prahl, Green Bay; Lexcy Prahl, Waterbury, Vermont; Tina (Larry) Thompson, St. Croix, USVI; five grandchildren, a great-grandchild, nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bernice Fletcher, and by his brother, Kenneth Prahl, both of New London. Rohde Amherst Age 83, widow of Harold "Dutch" Rohde, died on Thursday, March 30, 2000, in Waupaca. She was born on August 16, 1916, in the Township of Lanark, Portage County, the daughter of Edward and Lillian (Seeber) Hansen. She married Harold "Dutch" Rohde on December 10, 1931, in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1995. Survivors include her son, Richard (Vivian) Rohde, Amherst; three step-grandchildren, James Glancy, Virginia, Minnesota; John (Vickie) Gould, Gas City, Indiana; Karen Lacy, Parker, Florida; and five step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; a daughter, Catherine Marie Rohde, her parents, a brother, Carroll "Cal" Hansen, and a sister, Florence Pokrandt. Evelyn was a homemaker. She had also helped her husband in the operation of their bait shop for many years. Evelyn also enjoyed playing cards. Funeral services will be held at the HOLLY FUNERAL HOME in WAUPACA on Monday, April 3, 2000, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Susan Gaul, Amherst United Methodist Church, officiating. Pine St. New London Age 86, died Friday, March 31, 2000, at New London Family Medical Center. He was born October 3, 1913, in the Town of Larrabee, Waupaca County, the son of the late Albert and Matilda (Schmidt) Tews. He was baptized at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in the Town of Pella. On June 18, 1938, he was united in marriage to Gertrude Schley at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. On April 1, 1942, he purchased the Ziemer Homestead in Maple Creek where he farmed until April 1, 1996. He acquired the International Harvester franchise in 1946 and built the building on the intersection of highways 45 and 54 in 1947. In 1949, he added the Buick franchise and, later, American Motors, Jeep and Oldsmobile. He was a member of the State and National Automobile Dealers Associations, a charter member of the State Soybean Association and an ardent member of Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in New London. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; his children, the Reverend Thomas Tews of Memphis, Tennessee; daughter-in-law Nancy of Florence, Alabama; Beth (Kriese) Arras; and son-in-law Thomas Arras of Hudsonville, Michigan; five grandchildren, Joel (Becky) Tews, Anne (Jason) Hood, Jay Tews, Brett (Tamara) Kriese and Jill Kriese; and three great-grandchildren, Kayla and Erin Hood, and Cassidy Tews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold and Otto Tews; a sister, Amanda Nieland; and a son-in-law, Thomas Kriese. The Christian funeral will be held Monday, April 3, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. at Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in New London. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Lowell L. Wahlers 648 Wanda Ave., Neenah Age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 30, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Lowell was born January 12, 1923 in Mattoon, Wisconsin, son of the late Herbert L. and Alma (Greffenius) Wahlers. He married Lorraine Wideman Schneider. Lowell served in the U.S. Army 32nd Red Arrow Division being stationed in the South Pacific. He was employed with Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Lakeview Mill, for 43 years before retiring in 1983. Lowell was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Mens Retiree Club, and the Papermakers Union 482. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lorraine Wahlers; a brother, Dale Wahlers, Neenah; an aunt, Ella Wahlers, Stoughton; and many nieces, nephews and special relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 3, 2000, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Reverend James Seim officiating.
