Bloomer Encore Senior Villa Fond du Lac Age 85, formerly of Chilton, died peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2000, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on July 24, 1914, in Chilton, beloved and only child of A.B. and Selma (Seefeld) Connell. She married Gervase G. "Gyp" Bloomer on October 23, 1948, in Chilton; he preceded her in death on November 25, 1982. Jeanette attended Chilton public schools and Carroll College in Waukesha prior to returning to the State Bank of Chilton as a cashier. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Chilton, serving as a Sunday school teacher, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Calumet Medical Center Auxiliary, the Calumet County Chapter of the Eastern Star, and the Calumet County Red Cross, where she served as treasurer. Survivors include three children, Thomas (Catherine) Bloomer of Chilton, Marilyn (Paul) Groneng of Fond du Lac, and Janet (Paul) Sket of Stockbridge; seven grandchildren, Laura, Amy, Jeffrey, and Caitlin Bloomer, all of Chilton, Jonathan and Thomas Groneng of Fond du Lac, and Mikayla Sket of Stockbridge. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2000, at the Wieting Funeral Home in Chilton with the Reverend Kris Borns officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Jeanette Bloomer. Emerence S. Crevier Green Bay Age 81, died Friday evening, April 7, 2000, at a local nursing home following a brief illness. She was born July 25, 1918, in Rosiere to the late Florian and Odile (LeRoy) LeGrave. Emerence married Wilfred Crevier on November 12, 1935, at St. Hubert's Catholic Church in Rosiere. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1989. Emerence was a mother not only to her own children but also to 34 foster children. She served as a foster mother for many years in the Green Bay area. Emerence was a very active member of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish. She enjoyed working on their various committees and serving with the parish alter society. She is survived by seven children, Sr. Winifred, O.S.F., Manitowoc; Stanley and Valeria Crevier, Gurnee, Illinois; Gary and Helen Crevier, Appleton; Lionnel and Jan Crevier, Oneida; Allan and Carol Crevier, Merrill; Chris and Dan Groff, Green Bay; Andy and Tiffany Crevier, Richmond, Virginia; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Clayton LeGrave, Clifford LeGrave, James (Betty) LeGrave; three sisters, Cecilia Adams, Florence Lardinois, and Ruth Engebos; one sister-in-law, Dora LeGrave; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Lawrence, and four sisters, Elsie Nellis, Mary Dart, Rosamund Nellis, and Anna Virlee. Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Dieck 108 Hillcrest Drive, Marion Age 87, passed away Friday, April 7, 2000, at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville. The Rhodes & Beil Funeral Home, Marion, is assisting the family. The former Marcella Emma Ida Mavis was born January 16, 1913, in Marion to the late Emil and Celia (Pockat) Mavis. On October 24, 1931, she was united in marriage to Leonard H. Dieck at the Deerbrook parsonage in Antigo. Leonard preceded her in death on August 17, 1987. Marcella is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing with the church ladies on many projects. Marcella will be remembered most for crocheting, knitting, and her love of violets. Survivors include two daughters, Ann (Orvil) Krueger, Marion, and Marcella (Jerry) Bodoh, Empire, Michigan; four grandchildren, Beverly (Tom) Krueger, Marion; Shirley (Mike) Tischauser, Marion; David (Jayme) Krueger, Marion; and James Bodoh, Empire, Michigan; 13 grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two step great-great- grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Helen Mavis, Elcho. She was born in Appleton on August 6, 1923, to the late Howard and Nora (Burmeister) McGuire Sr. Fern was a past member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Mackville. She worked at Zwicker's Knitting Mill for over 40 years. Fern will be remembered as a caring person who loved her animals. She will be sadly missed by her grandson, Justin Kavanaugh; brother, Howard McGuire; and sister- in-law, Barb McGuire, all of Appleton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Orman in Manistique. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1996. Beatrice was a member of the First Baptist Church on Manistique, VFW Auxiliary Post 4420, Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 3755, Women of the Moose Chapter 1665, D.A.V. Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors. She was formerly employed as a nurse's aide in Manistique, Sault Ste. Marie and Kalamazoo. State St., Appleton, Wisconsin 54911. Hilda E. Umnus Age 96, formerly of Morrison and Reedsville, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 8, 2000, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. She had been residing for the past 10 years and for the last 15 months at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center. She was born March 26, 1904, in the Township of Wrightstown to the late Wm. and Emma Gustman Uecker. She married Arthur Umnus June 4, 1924, at Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison. Together they operated a dairy farm in the Town of Morrison for 30 years. Hilda was a lifelong member of Morrison Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Elroy and Lois Umnus, Homosassa Springs, Florida, and Dale and Gladys Umnus, Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Paulette and Tom Thomas, Mark and Rene'e Umnus, Dawn and Steven Toth, Donna Gorzelitz, Julie Umnus; seven great- grandchildren, Holly and the Reverend Tim Glende, Adam Thomas and fiancee Kris Treichel, Hillary Umnus, Brian and Katie Gorzelitz, Andrew and Angela Toth; and two great-great- grandchildren, Miranda and Noah Glende. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
