She was born to the late Emil and Mathilda (Balike) Konkel in Pella, Wisconsin, February 16, 1916. She married the late Ervin Arndt on October 23, 1973. Laura is survived by five children, Martin (Peggy) Pingel, Lorena (Fred Kopitske) Hintz, Willis (Karen) Pingel, Randolph (Carol) Pingel, Corvin (Chris) Pingel; 15 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren and her sisters, Gertrude Knaack and Irene (Marlin) Breiterick. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Martin Pingel; a son, Wendell Pingel; a daughter, Betty Hoks; a sister, Regina Arndt; brothers, Richard, Emil Jr. and Harry Konkel and a brother-in-law, Melvin Knaack. A memorial service will be Monday, April 24, 2000, at 11:30 a.m. at the WICHMANN TRI- COUNTRY CHAPEL, 3212 South Oneida Street, with Pastor Mark Weiss officiating. Oneida Street Menasha 831-9905 Elcide "Al" Brouillard Coldwater Township, Michigan Age 82, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at home. He was born November 30, 1917, in Chippewa Falls, the son of John and Alvina (Blanchard) Brouillard. Mr. Brouillard retired after working many years as a security guard at the Community Health Center in Coldwater and spending most of his life in the field of law enforcement. He owned and operated the former Texaco Station in Coldwater along with several other private businesses. Al also helped in the construction of the Thule, Greenland, airstrip. Mr. Brouillard lived in the Branch County area since 1953, coming here from Wisconsin. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge of Coldwater and was past president of the Coldwater Eagles. He coached a Wisconsin minor league baseball team to a championship win and was a skilled marksman. Al belonged to the Euchre Club at the Eagles, and was an avid Tiger baseball fan. He loved hunting, fishing and fixing small engines. He also sang and played many instruments. He married Mary Dressel on February 28, 1938, in Wisconsin; she survives. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a grandson. Survivors include his wife, Mary; sons, Gerald L. and Chuck Brouillard, both of Coldwater; daughters, Genivive "Jenny" Smoker, Lake George, Indiana; Lois (Larry) Wolff, Hanover Horton; Jeanette Shaw, Coldwater; 11 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Helen was born in the Town of Greenville on September 5, 1908, the daughter of the late Henry and Helen (Bauman) Reinke and has lived in the Appleton area all of her life. She was united in marriage to Harlow Feavel on August 24, 1946, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grenville, sharing 53 years together. Helen was employed by AAL, retiring in 1969. She was a member of Mt. Olive Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. Survivors include her husband, Harlow, Appleton; a son, Stanley and his wife, Jeanie, Appleton. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Lester, Gilbert, Elmer, Melvin, Earl and Paul Reinke; three sisters, Ina Reinke, Evelyn Dietrich and Belle Reinke. He was born on May 25, 1922, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and was a sales rep for American Can Co. for 35 years before retiring in 1981. Douglas was a member of Trail Ridge Men's Golf Club, Sun City West Christian Church, a volunteer at Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital and the Sundome. He is survived by his wife, Rita M. Fox, three sons, Stephen Fox, Houston, Texas; Douglas Fox, Johnson City, Tennessee; and James Fox, Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Letter, Homewood, Illinois. Raymond W. Hietpas Age 92, formerly of St. Mary Catholic Church, De Pere, passed away peacefully on Holy Thursday, April 20, 2000. The son of the late Joseph H. and Catherine (Lenz) Hietpas was born June 11, 1907, in Little Chute. He received his formation for the priesthood at St. Francis Seminary. Fr. Hietpas was ordained by Bishop Paul P. Rhode on June 15, 1935, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. Father Hietpas served as Assistant at the following parishes: St. Wendel Parish, Cleveland, 1935 (temporary); St. Luke Parish, Two Rivers, 1935; St. Joseph Parish, Sturgeon Bay, 1936; St. Mary Parish, De Pere, 1936; and St. Peter & Paul, Green Bay, 1942. Father was appointed Pastor of St. Philomena Parish, Birnamwood with Missions at Eland and Wittenberg, September 15, 1945; Immaculate Conception Parish, Glenmore with Mission at Stark, June 18, 1953; St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Lena, January 25, 1955; St. Nicholas Parish, Freedom, February 29, 1956; and St. Mary Parish, De Pere, September 4, 1957. Father Hietpas also served as Diocesan Chaplain of Catholic Nurses, October 1957 and as the Dean of the De Pere Deanery, August 6, 1969, to 1970. Fr. Hietpas was very active with scouting and he was the first priest to accomplish the Eagle award. He also started the boxing program and coached basketball for many years at St. Mary Church in De Pere. He enjoyed his cottage and went fishing in Canada for many years. Fr. Hietpas retired from pastoral duty on June 15, 1977. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Hietpas, on January 16, 1993; and a niece, Robin Hietpas; and his longtime dedicated housekeeper Mary Le Clercq. Weyenberg) 217 Oak Street, Kaukauna Age 83, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Friday, April 21, 2000. Della was born December 16, 1916 near Oneida, daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (De Coster) Weyenberg. On January 29, 1936 she married Lloyd H. Welch; he preceded her in death on July 27, 1984. Della was employed for over 30 years by the Appleton Wire Works, retiring in 1977. Della will be remembered as a woman whose greatest joys in life came from spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a longtime and faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and held a special place in her heart for the Green Bay Packers.
