He was born March 30, 1909 in the Town of Maine, the son of the late Will and Emily Fields. On August 24, 1935 he was married to Carol Nelson. Roy had been employed with Fox Paper for 18 years, and worked at Nichols Paper, and he farmed. He and his wife are members of the First Congregational Church of Shiocton. Survivors include his wife, Carol; two sons: Carl, Town of Maine; Kenneth and special friend Judy Schmidt, Hortonville; seven grandchildren: Darrin Fields, Dan Fields, Carla Fletcher, Wanda Sticlow, Leah Looker, Troy Fields, and Shane Fields; and 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Adin Fields; and two sisters: Ardyce Zimmerman and Myrtle Stilen. He was preceded in death by Hazel (Norman) Schawman, Nettie (Sam) Strong, Clarence and Lloyd (Caroline) Fields, and Myron (Violet) Fields. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2000 from the First Congregational Church of Shiocton, with Rev. Michael Isbill officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Frederick "Les" Appleton Age 76, was called home to God Thursday, April 27, 2000. He was born February 11, 1924 in Appleton to the late William and Anna (Mahal) Frederick. He married Henrietta Stark June 30, 1951 in Niagara, Wisconsin. Les was employed by Allis Chalmers for 36 years until retiring in 1986. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved gardening and bird watching. Les is survived by his wife of 48 years, Henrietta; two daughters: Sharon (Jerry) Koehler and grandsons, Adam and Matt; LuAnn (Charlie) Hiroskey and granddaughters, Samantha and Amber; a son, Thomas (Lori) Frederick and grandchildren, Ryan, Shelby and Abby; two sisters: Delores Mainz and Luella (Jim) Laux; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Frederick. Preceded in death by four brothers: Wilbert, George, Harold and Eugene; a sister, Stella Ermers; two brothers-in-law: Tony Ermers and Ervin Mainz; and a sister-in-law, Jean Frederick. Owaissa Street Appleton Age 83, passed away Thursday morning, April 27, 2000. She was born July 7, 1916 in Berlin, Wisconsin, to the late Edmund and Estelle (Armstrong) Fitzmaurice. Jane graduated from Berlin High School in 1933, attended Miss Brown's Business School in Milwaukee, and then was employed in Milwaukee for five years. She married Arthur Judge on January 20, 1940 in Berlin and her preceded her in death on March 12, 1966. They had lived in Berlin and later in Wautoma, where she was employed for many years at law offices there; the first with the late Earl Killen and the last, for now Wisconsin Supreme Court Judge Jon Wilcox, prior to his move to Madison. After her retirement she moved to Appleton, where she had resided since then. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Jane is survived by two daughters: Susan Judge and Sara Judge, both of Appleton; a son, Tom Judge, Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is also survived by her twin sister, Monica Dix, Neenah; a niece and four nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Edmund and Elizabeth Fitzmaurice. Lambie "Gene" N1762 County Road J Kaukauna Age 84, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2000 following a brief illness. Gene was born in the Town of Kaukauna on July 16, 1915, son of the late Clifford and Lucy (Busse) Lambie. On September 19, 1940 he married the former Patricia Oudenhoven at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Oneida, she survives. Gene was a lifelong dairy farmer in the town of Kaukauna, and after his retirement was employed by Fox Valley Wood Products. Gene will be remembered for his keen wit and his ability to keep everyone's attention while telling a good story. He was a long time member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and AARP. Ed worked for Gustmans in Kaukauna for over 50 years and was a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul. He enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. But his grandchildren gave him his greatest enjoyment.
