Kraus) "Vi" 1687 W. Butte des Morts Beach Road, Neenah Age 87, died Friday morning, April 28, 2000. She was born November 4, 1912, to the late Charles and Emma (Lau) Kraus, in Brillion and had been an area resident most of her life. Vi was employed by Zwicker Knitting Mill for ten years. She enjoyed baseball, especially the Appleton Foxes baseball team, and she loved music, dancing, playing cards and eating out. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church. Vi is survived by her dear brother and sister-in-law, Carlie and Marie Krause, Appleton; sisters-in-law, Violet Kramer and Elvira Kraus; nephews, Dan (Betsy) Krause, David (Corinne) Krause, Bob (Barb) Kraus, Dennis (Letha) Kraus, Ron (Dottie) Kraus, David Kinsman; nieces: Jean (David) Lincoln, Linda Barkholtz, Betty (John) Abitz, Joyce Lankford, and all their families. (Voight) Dorn N5060 State Road 76, Shiocton Age 82, entered eternal life on April 28, 2000, at her home with her family at her side after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. Thelma was born on September 5, 1917, in Appleton, the daughter of Seeley and Leone (Simpson) Gurnee. When Thelma was three, her mother married Earl Hamm and Thelma lived most of her child and adult life at her current residence. Thelma Hamm was married to Leo Diermeier in 1933, to Oscar Voight in 1945, and to Edward "John" Dorn in 1973. All three husbands have preceded her in death. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her garden. She completed crossword puzzles on a daily basis. Thelma attended Shiocton High School and was a dedicated member of First Ev. Lutheran Church of Shiocton and served as Secretary of the church's Ladies Aid for many years. Survivors include Carol (Glenn) Wilson, Antigo; Jack (Marty) Voight, Appleton; Jan Voight, Neenah; Karen Voight, Appleton; Neita (Barry) Falk, Appleton; Linda Paul, Appleton; Larry Voight, Las Vegas, Nevada; Gale (Denise) Voight, Las Angeles, California. He was born on August 27, 1952, in Green Bay, son of the late Louis and Emily (Landskron) Gammey. Tim was married to Gloria Kufahl on April 28, 1979, in Merrill. He was employed by Fort James, (formerly James River), for 20 years until his stroke in 1994. Tim's loves included his wife, his children, vintage auto shows, working on old cars in his garage, and racing his '57 Chevy with his family and cousin Tom. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Gloria; his children, Jessica and David, both at home; a brother, Bill Gammey, Menasha. He is further survived by a special cousin, Tom Landskron, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in June, due to a family member being out of the country. She was born on December 14, 1922, in the Town of Wolf River, the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (Koop) Niemuth. On February 23, 1957, Lydia married Albert Lautenbach; he preceded her in death on August 9, 1971. Lydia served her country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Johnston-Blessman Post 38 in Appleton. She graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, with a bachelor's degree in education. Lydia was employed at Kimberly-Clark for 101/2 years as an administrative assistant. Survivors include her sister, Rose Egnoski, Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. It was Lydia's wish that there be no visitation or funeral service held. He was born in the Town of Center on February 7, 1903, to the late Carl and Louise (Schmaling) Sommers. On August 22, 1928, he married Mildred Miller and she preceded him in death on July 8, 1989. He worked most of his life as a dairy farmer and was then employed by Miller Electric and Bridgewood Golf Course. He was a life long member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church.
