She was born on May 8, 1913, near Ogdensburg, Waupaca County, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Jesse and Hannah (Knutson) Rice. She married Leroy Anderson in Waupaca on March 5, 1938. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1974. Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Gary) Jolin of Pickett, Wisconsin, and Kay (Tim) Leege of Waupaca, Wisconsin; three granddaughters, Amy (Tony) Cornwall of Everett, Washington; Beth Jolin of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and Sara Jolin of Pickett, Wisconsin; a great-grandson, Lucas Cornwall; three sisters, Georgia (Leroy) Wiegert of Ogdensburg, Wisconsin; Dona Faulks of Manawa, Wisconsin, and Charlotte (Edward) Weber of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and a brother, Minor (Marge) Rice, living in California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; her parents; two sisters, Janet Redenius and Ruby Johnson, and a brother, Jesse Rice. Mable had been a Homemaker. Some of her favorite interests included reading and dancing. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. A funeral service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca on Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow the funeral service with interment of the remains in the Salem (Swede) Cemetery located in the Township of Farmington, Waupaca County. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Monday evening from 5-8 p.m., and at the church on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service. Cartwright Fremont Age 4, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 28, 2000, at Berlin Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 4, 1995, in Waupaca, Wisconsin, the daughter of James and Karin (Tyler) Cartwright. Rachel was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega. She was always smiling and hugging everyone and she enjoyed talking with all people. Survivors include her parents, James and Karin; a sister, Kaitlyn, at home; her paternal grandparents, Bob and Rose Cartwright, Pine River; maternal grandparents, Dick and Mary Tyler, Thief River Falls, Minnesota; paternal great- grandparents, Werner and Clarice Kempf, Weyauwega; maternal great-grandmother, Ellen Mattson, Fargo North Dakota; uncle, Mark (Julie) Cartwright, and their children, Amanda and Kaylie; two aunts, Aimee Johaneson, who was also Rachel's godmother, Apple Valley, Minnesota; and Sara Tyler, Pierre, South Dakota. Rachel was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Earl and Vera Cartwright, and her maternal grandparents, Otto and Myrtle Tyler and Harry Mattson, and her uncle and godfather, Casey Johaneson. (Voight) Dorn N5060 St. Road 76, Shiocton Age 82, entered eternal life on April 28, 2000, at her home with her family at her side after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer. Thelma was born on September 5, 1917, in Appleton, the daughter of Seeley and Leone (Simpson) Gurnee. When Thelma was three, her mother married Earl Hamm and Thelma lived most of her child and adult life at her current residence. Thelma Hamm was married to Leo Diermeier in 1933, to Oscar Voight in 1945, and to Edward "John" Dorn in 1973. All three husbands have preceded her in death. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her garden. She completed crossword puzzles on a daily basis. Thelma attended Shiocton High School and was a dedicated member of First Ev. Lutheran Church of Shiocton and served as Secretary of the church's Ladies Aid for many years. Survivors include Carol (Glenn) Wilson, Antigo; Jack (Marty) Voight, Appleton; Jan Voight, Neenah; Karen Voight, Appleton; Neita (Barry) Falk, Appleton; Linda Paul, Appleton; Larry Voight, Las Vegas, Nevada; Gale (Denise) Voight, Las Angeles, California. She is further survived by 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2000, at the First Ev. Lutheran Church of Shiocton with the Reverend Paul Hinz officiating. Burial will be in the Bovina Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 12 noon on Monday until the time of the service. "Mom, we know you are in the Lord's grace and we will always love you forever." Elmer R. Enz Menasha Age 89, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. He was born December 1, 1910, in Glenmore, Wisconsin, son of the late William and Wiliminie (Griepentrog) Enz. Elmer married Rose Rogalski May 31, 1937, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pine Grove, Wisconsin. Since their marriage Elmer and Rose have resided in several different locations. From the family farm near Shirley their moves were to Chilton, Sheboygan, Green Bay, Cato, and Wausau, but for the past 48 years Menasha was their home. Elmer was employed as an electrician until his retirement. After retiring he was a saw filer as well as a "Jack of all Trades." He served the community as a member of the Park Commission, the Board of Electrical Examiners, Sewage Commission and on the Library Advisory Board. He was also a member of the Democratic Party and was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus member. His legacy was that he would do anything for his friends and everyone was his friend. Elmer is survived by his wife, Rose; two sons and daughter-in-law; Dallas Enz, Mauston, Wisconsin, and Arnold (Susan) Enz, Amherst; a daughter and son-in-law; Noritha (James) Voigt, Oshkosh; nine grandchildren, Gerald Enz, Greg (Sherri) Enz and their children, Samara and Jackson; Arnold (Dana) Enz Jr. and their children, Jenson and Mason; Sarah Enz and her children, Zoe and Claire; Jeff Enz and his wife, Ally Ohson; Jill Enz and her husband, Ron LeMay; Andrew Voigt and his children, Amanda and James; Julie (Bruce) Gehring and their children, Rachel and Alex; Amy (John) Biner and their child, Emily; two brother-in-laws, Harold Rogalski and Harold Beduhn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was born September 9, 1923, in Seymour, son of the late Odie and Gladys (Waite) Gilbertson. On September 20, 1947, he married Marguerite Mittelstaedt in Oshkosh. Following their marriage they lived on a farm near Weyauwega, and lived for a year in Stevens Point, returning to Weyauwega in 1958. "Nate" was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega and had served as sub treasurer many years. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the European Theater with the 371 Engineers Construction Battalion of the U.S. Army. He was a life member of VFW Post 10407 of Weyauwega. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marge; three daughters, Gloria Gingle, her husband Gerald Rozner and daughter Jennifer, Plover; Nancy (Jack) Meidl and sons Dan and Mike, Weyauwega; Patricia (Don) Kroiss and sons Steve and Ryan, New London; a brother, Duane "Gib" (Dorothy) Gilbertson, Weyauwega; three sisters, Janet Kriese, Weyauwega; Elaine Argilla, California; Joyce (Merlyn) Prahl, Weyauwega; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Koteski Berlin Doris L. (Dorris) Koteski, age 73, of the Town of Berlin, died on Thursday morning April 27, 2000, at the Juliette Manor Hospice Unit of Berlin. Doris was born on February 14, 1927, in Berlin, the daughter of Joseph and Regina (Secora) Domask. She married Robert Peter Koteski on May 29, 1948, at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church of Berlin. Doris graduated from the Washington Grade School of Berlin and also the Berlin High School class of 1944. While in high school she was employed by the Anderson Drug Store of Berlin as a clerk. She later became employed by the Sentry food store of Berlin as a clerk and also had worked in the store's bakery and deli departments for 10 years. Doris was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, and also a special friend of many people. She was also a good friend to the residents of Juliette Manor Nursing Home of Berlin. She is a member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church of Berlin and also the ladies sodality of the parish. She is also a member of the Berlin High School Alumni Assocation, and the Berlin VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include her beloved husband of 51 years Robert (Pete); one daughter, Denise (Robert) Jackson of Henderson, Nevada, and one son, Thomas (Kerry) Koteski of Freedom, Wisconsin; also two sisters, Priscilla (Claire) Horn of West Bend, Wisconsin, and Elaine Domask of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Doris is further survived by four grandchildren, Joshua Koteski, Aaron White, Hailey White and Adam Jackson; also 12 nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. The couple lived in the Kaukauna area their entire married lives. Ron worked for Badger Northland for 36 years and was presently employed at Miller of St. Nazianz. He enjoyed woodworking, painting and going up North. She enjoyed modeling, shopping, fishing, go- karting, camping, the trampoline, and spending time with her many friends. She had a love for animals, and had aspirations to one day become a veterinarian. She will be forever missed by her parents, sisters, brothers and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Her maternal and paternal grandparents preceded her in death.
