Thurston Hill Cemetery is located in Section 1 of Trimbelle Township in Pierce County;, Wisconsin, northwest of Ellsworth. to reach the cemetery you go north from Ellsworth on Highway 35 (65) to Crosstwon Road; turn left (west). Go .9 mile and turn right onto Thurston Hill Road (deadend). Go .6 to the cemetery located on right hand side of road. The cemetery is located on the old Thurston family farm. It was a community cemetery (not church affiliated). A Mr. Thurston was said to have donated the money to purchase and install the arched gate at the entrance to the cemetery.
