PIERCE GROOVER BURIAL PLOT (2 graves), in section 24, Township of Carson, Portage County, WI, south of Junction City on County Trunk O, to the first four corners and then east just past the first house on the left. Copied October 18, 1972 by Wayne and Alta Guyant. PIERCE: Lelah M 28 Jun 1910 - 29 Jan 1913 Albert C 01 Apr 1914 - 21 Apr 1915 They stopped by the house by this cemetery and they were told that there were many more burials there. There is supposed to be eight or nine PIERCE children and also at least two GROVERS, Hugh GROVER's folks. It is in a lot of lilac bushes and weeds. Wayne and Alta also went to the Stevens Point Courthouse and found this information: Albert C PIERCE (listed above) was the son of Minnie (OLDS) and Albert PIERCE. Also buried there was Irvan GROVER, whose parents were Mary (BROOKER) and Hugh GROVER. He was born 14 Dec 1903 and died 25 Feb 1915 of pneumonia and was buried in the Township of Carson.
