Death of a Former Resident

Mrs. Catharine J. Beers died at her home in Wilber, Neb., 
April 25th, 1899, aged 81 years, 6 months and 10 days.  Miss 
Catherine J. Moss was born Oct 15th, 1817, and in 1835 was 
married to Asa B. Beers.  They came to Wisconsin in 1854 and 
lived in Buena Vista until 1887, when they went to Wilber, Neb.,  
where Mrs. Beers died Jan. 15th, 1895.  Ten children were born to 
them, four of them being still alive, three sons and one daughter.  
They are George of Lexington, Oklahoma, Mrs. Ella Scanlan of 
Buena Vista, and Fred and Eli Beers of Wilber, Neb.  She has two 
brothers and sisters.  They are Mrs. S.W. Strong of Amherst 
Junction, I. M. Moss of this city, Elisha Moss of Lanark and 
Mrs. Wm. Scriber of Seattle, Wash.
