Obituary: Portage County, Wisconsin: Libbie (Tobie) DAVIS Gazette (Stevens Point) Feb. 17, 1909 (Wed) Died in North Dakota Mr. and Mrs. Ed. P. Tobie, of Amherst Junction, spent part of last Sunday in this city, coming up to visit his mother, Mrs. Mary Tobie, who is assisting in the care of Mrs. M. G. Miller, 417 Normal avenue. Mr. Tobie brought the sad intelligence of the death of his sister, Mrs. Chas. Davis, at Williston, N. Dak., last Wednesday. The lady's home was on a farm some thirty miles from White Earth, in the same state, but she had been in a hospital at Williston for several weeks. Blood poisoning was the cause of death. Libbie Tobie was 35 years of age, Oct. 22d. She was twice married, her first husband being name Durkee, by whom she had two daughters, now 12 and 9 years of age. The youngest child is an invalid, having spinal trouble. Mrs. Davis had many friends in this city and county, her childhood and young womanhood being passed in Stevens Point at St. Stephen's parochial school about 25 years ago, and also at Amherst Junction, where she was born. Besides her husband, children and mother, she leaves three brothers, Louis D., Edward P. and Arthur N. Tobie, and one sister, Mrs. Mary C.
