Obituary: Portage County, Wisconsin: Theodore A. DENSCH Stevens Point Daily Journal June 27, 1899 Theodore A. Densch Young Man Dies After Long Illness with Consumption Theodore Albert Densch died shortly after 2 o'clock this afternoon at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Densch at the corner of Strongs avenue and Shaurette street. He had been sick with consumption for about three months. While at work on St. Paul's Lutheran church last fall he strained himself and never recovered his health again. During the winter he was employed in the Central's upholstering department until March 3, when he suffered a hemorrhage. From that time he failed rapidly although he consulted the best local doctors and also visited Chicago to take Dr. Murphy's treatment. At that time, however, he was too weak to stand the operation even if it might have benefitted [sic] him. Theodore was born in this city on July 6, 1878, and always made his home here. He was a bright, capable young fellow and was always a favorite wherever employed. He leaves three brothers and a sister, Richard, Charles, Emil and Emma, all of this city. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from St. Paul's German Lutheran church, Rev. Carl Schmidt officiating, with interment in the Episcopal cemetery. ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, June 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************
