Obituary: Portage County, Wisconsin: Mrs. John GODIN Stevens Point Daily Journal May 5, 1899 Mrs. John Godin Mother of Mrs. C.H. Gaylord Dies This Morning Mrs. John Godin, mother of Mrs. C.H. Gaylord, died at her daughter's home at 431 Water street at 1 o'clock this morning after an illness of about four months with heart trouble, dropsy and other complications. The deceased was born in Denmark on April 27, 184. She came to this country about 21 years ago and lived on a farm in Westfild until about seven years ago when she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she remained until last February, when on account of her illness, whe was brought to this city. She was thrice married and leaves a husband in Utah. Her only surviving, child, Mrs. Gaylord, was the daughter of her first husband and lived with an uncle in the old country for many years after her monther came to America. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon from the house, Rev. A.S. Badger officiating. Stevens Point Daily Journal, May 8, 1899 Funeral of Mrs. John Godin The funeral of Mrs. John Godin took place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence of her son-in-law, Chas. H. Gaylord on Water street, Rev. A.S. Badger officiating. The pallbearers were E.W. Sellers, Frank Chamberlain, W.J. Delaney, James Welch, F.W.
