Obituary: Portage County, Wisconsin: Martin MEEHAN Gazette (Stevens Point) Jan. 13, 1909 Martin Meehan Dead Martin Meehan, a pioneer of this locality, but who has been a resident of the far west for a number of years, his home being at Ellensburgh, Wash., died at that place on the 4th inst. The remains were brought to Milwaukee, the funeral taking place on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Pfiffner of this city, the latter being a niece of the deceased, were in attendance. Another brother, Patrick Meehan, it will be remember, passed away in Milwaukee only a few weeks ago. The deceased is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alice Carpenter, wife of J.J. Carpenter of Milwaukee, and two brothers, Jas. Meehan, of Milwaukee, and John Meehan, of Thief River Falls, Minn., and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Moylan of Portland, Ore., and Mr. L.N.
