Clipping from Stevens Point Daily Journal 30 October 1941 Submitted by Rick Campen Mrs. S. G. O’Bryan Mrs. S. G. O’Bryan, age 76 and a half sister of Mrs. Arthur Redfield, 715 Wyatt Avenue, died Tuesday morning at 3:45 o’clock at her home in Auburndale following an illness of several years. The body is at the O’Bryan home at Auburndale and the funeral services will be held there Friday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Saint John’s Lutheran church in Auburndale at 2:00 burial will follow in the Greenwood cemetery there. Mrs. O’ Bryant, the former Augusta Helena Lange, was born on August 10, 1865 in Germany and came to this country on May 18, 1866 with their parents, the late Carl and Gottlieba Lange. She was married at Auburndale to Mr. O’Brien on September 6, 1886 and the couple observed the golden wedding anniversary five years ago. Surviving are her husband, five sons, Carl Ellsworth, Vancouver Washington, George H., West Salem, Samuel Wesley and Robert T., Rhinelander, Thomas, Jr. Auburndale; four daughters, Mrs. Herman Reige, Delavan, Mrs. Minnie Kearns, Milwaukee, Mrs. Gordon Wahalen, Gordon, and Mrs. Oliver Hebert Milwaukee; a half brother William Lange, Park Rapids Minnesota and to half sisters Mrs. George E. Lant, Los Angeles Calfornia and Mrs. Redfield, Stevens Point, seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two brothers, Louis, and Fred, preceded her in death. Louis died two weeks ago.
