Obituary: Portage County, Wisconsin: William H. PACKARD Stevens Point Daily Journal April 20, 1899 Funeral of W.H. Packard The funeral of Wm H. Packard took place from the residence of his son, Charles H., on Water street, at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Brief services were conducted by Rev. J.H. Tippett of the Methodist Church, at the house and at the grave. The pall bearers were F.R. Houston, John Sellers, C.E. Webster, John Finch, J.A. Murat, and E. McGlachlin. The family relatives present at the funeral were Mrs. Packard and six of their eight children as follows: Geo. A. Packard and his wife, Bayfield, Wm. H. Packard jr., and wife of Bayfield, Mrs. Wm. Bigler of Hayward, John A. Packard of Washburn, and Chas. H. and James L. Packard of this city.
