Clipping from Stevens Point Daily Journal June1953 Submitted by Rick Campen Arthur R. Redfield Arthur R. Redfield, 69, a post office employee here for 46 years, died Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at his home at 715 Wyatt Avenue. Although he had been in ill health, his death was unexpected. Mr. Redfield was a clerk at the post office until his retirement on Dec. 31,1951. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church, with burial following in Forest cemetery. The body is at the Rosenow-Moore funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p. m. Tuesday until 10 a. m. Thursday, and at the church from 1 p. m. Thursday until the time of the services. Mr. Redfield was born Aug. 26, 1887, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Redfield. On Sept. 25, 1905, he was married at St. Paul's church to the former Anna Lange, who survives. The couple had lived at the Wyatt Avenue address since that time. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Earl Gaedtke, Rice Lake, Mrs. Robert Janes, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Fred Campen, Aurora, Ill.; six grandchildren, and a brother, Frank Redfield, Burley, Idaho. Stevens Point Daily Journal June1953 Redfield Funeral Rev. Herbert P. Wunderlich officiated at funeral services Thurs. day afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran church for Arthur R. Redfield of 715 Wyatt avenue. Mr. Redfield died Sunday morning at his home. Burial was made in Forest cemetery. During the services, A. J. Miller sang, "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied by Miss Doris Moss. The pallbearers were Frank Abb, Donald Gaedtke, William Gaedtke, Lawrence Hebal, James Malick and Ben Redfield. Attending the services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gaedtke, Rice Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Janes, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Campen, Aurora, Ill.; Frank Redfield, Burley, Ida.; Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Gaedtke, Oxnard, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. William Gaedtke, St. Paul, Minn., and other relatives and friends from this vicinity.
