Obituary from The Hawkins Chronicle, Friday, December 30, 1938:
	More homes were saddened for the Christmas time when Mrs. Herman 
Fiebig of Kennan passed away Christmas morning at her home.  Mrs. Fiebig, 
mother of Fred Fiebig, of this village, was one of the pioneer residents of 
Kennan and had reached the age of 93 years.  Funeral services were held 
Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran church at Kennan with interment in the 
Kennan cemetery.  Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fiebig, Mr. ad Mrs. Arnold Fiebig, Albert 
Fiebig and Ervin Fiebig were over from here to attend the funeral.  The 
community feels sympathy for the relatives at the loss of this dear one
