Blake was Lieutenant. The Officers and Privates. The journal reporter today was shown a document that is of great interest to old settlers and a rare relic. It is the enrollment of Company A fourth regiment ef the Wisconson militia, 1842, when James Duane Doty was Governor of the the Territory of Wisconson. In those days, they spelled Wisconson like this: Wiskonsan (Whee honsaa). The document, old and worn, is the property of Ed. Bartlett, of Franksville. His father, James O Bartlett, deceased, was captaln of the company. Lucias B. Blake, of this city, First Lieutenant; Charles Smith; First Sergeant, Hiram Sherman; Second Sergeant, Benj. Perkins; Third Sargent Joseph Blanson; 4th sargent; Newtoe Parker; First Corporal, Miles Colton; Second; Cyrus Parks; Third, Wa. Meeker: Fourth, and on the muster roll are the names of 160 privates.
