Funeral of Jay W. Payne. 

Funeral services for Jay W. Payne, 
life-long resident of this 
Vicinity, were held Wednesday from 
the Congregational Church, 
conducted by Rev. Stanford 
Strosahl of the Methodist  Church, 
assisted by Miss Edna Meredith, 
organist, and Mrs. Irving Smith, 
vocalist, Burial was in the Union 
Grove Cemetary. Casket bearers 
were Ernest Swantz, Clyde Price, 
Roy Nielsen, Ernest Erickson, 
Edward Swantz, and Harold Moe. 
Relatives and old friends came for 
the service from Racine, 
Burlington, Kansasville, and other 
points of the two counties.
