Charles E. Yates Dies at His Home 
Charles E. Yates, 432 Shoreland Dr., Head of the Leyton 
Manufacturing Co., makers of graphite guns, died Sunday 
at his home. He was born in Sylvania, and had resided in 
Racine county all his life. He was a purchasing agent for 
Horlicks Corporation for 34 years, and was a member of 
the Elks and Racine Rotary Clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Helen B. Yates; two nieces, 
Mrs. Hazel Howard of Redlands, Calif., and Mrs. William 
Johnson of Stratford, Wis., and one nephew, James Yates 
of Stratford. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. 
Wednesday at 1139 Blaine Ave., with Rev. D. Raymond Parry 
officiating.
