Payne Marriage Jeanette Crowley Becomes Bride of James L. Payne Jeanette Crowley, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Crowley, Burlington became the bride of James L. Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay W. Payne, Jr., Union Grove, in St. Charies Catholic Church yesterday morning. Rev. Charles Meyers officiated at the ceremony. ' The bride was attired in a pearl gray suit with white accessories and carried a prayerbook. Anna Mae Crowley, sister of the bride, and her only attendant chose a suit of light green with white accessories. Alvin Miller acted as best man, and Jess Healy and Elmer Ketterhagen were ushers. The children choir under the direction of Sister M. Rosanne sang, and Mary Lois Bauman sang “Ave Maria.” A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride, and dinner was served to the immediate families at the Colonial Club following the nuptials. The couple left on a one-week wedding trip and will be at home at 558 Washington Street, Burlington, upon their return.
