Our little burgh is taking the 
lead in weddings. It has become 
almost an epidemic, and as we have 
so many more fair and winsome 
maidens, we expect to havé many 
more weddings to report. This 
time, it was at our postmaster’s. 
At high noon Wednestay, April 8, 
1891, Miss Carrie Yates, the -
oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
James Yates of Sylvania, and Mr. 
Robert Roberts of Union Grove were 
united in the holy bonds of 
matrimony by Rev. Barr, Mr. and 
Mrs. Roberts will make their home 
in the city, where Mr. Roberts is 
employed in the grocery store of 
Samuel Yates.
