Mabel Ovedia Jacobson was born July 10, 1849 at Orfordville, Wisconsin,
where her early life was spent. She was confirmed June 6, 1909 in the
Norwegian Lutheran Church of Orfordville by the Rev. O. J. Kvale. On March
29th, 1915 she was united in marriage to William E. Benson of this city and
spent her married life in Evansville.

Mrs. Benson died Nov. 25th, 1919 at the Mercy Hospital of Janesville after
an illness of over four months duration. her father and brother in infancy
have preceeded her in death. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, her
mother, Mrs. B. Jacobson, three sister, Mrs. I. O. Lundt of Beloit, Hattie
and Celia of Orfordville and three brothers, John, Louis and Theodore
Jacobson of Beloit.

Funeral services were held from the Benson home in Evansville on Saturday
afternoon at 12:30 and from the Norwegian church of Orfordville at 2:30,
that same afternoon. Interment was made in the Orfordville cemetery.
