Funeral services were held from the Emerton home Sunday afternoon. The child has always been frail, and Mrs. Curtis arrived here but a few weeks ago from her home in Michigan, in hopes the change would prove beneficial to the little one. October 15, 1907, The Tribune, p. 3, col. 3, Evansville, Wisconsin Ira Emerton March 19, 1834 - August 7, 1910, a Civil War Veteran of the New Hampshire 7th Vol. is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Mitchell addition, Block, 2, lot 6, next to the child of William Curtis, October 13, 1907 (burial date) There is no stone for the child, only the sexton's record of burial.
